Adult Young Friends
AYF Midwinter
Midwinter Gathering
Quilting Community
Join us Feb. 13-16 (2026) at Camp Onas, PA for a national gathering of young adult Friends!
This midwinter gathering is being organized by the adult young Friends community of Friends General Conference, but it is a retreat for everyone (between the ages of 18-35).
No matter where you’re coming from or what your prior experience is with Quakerism, you are welcome!
What to Expect
The theme of this retreat is Quilting Community. Look forward to lots of time spent nurturing f/Friendship: breaking bread together, joining for worship, board games, exploring nature, evening chats, maybe a talent show?
Our programming will focus on how the community we quilt together—how we treat, welcome, and organize ourselves in a shared space—seeds a vision for the future of Quakerism. Whether this is your first time in a Quaker space or your one-hundredth, this gathering is for you!
If you have preteen children, they are welcome but need to be individually registered. While childcare is something we might hope to organize for future gatherings, it will not be available at this one.
Not able to make it this year but interested in hearing about future gathering? Fill out this form to be added to our email list!

Finances
This gathering is organized voluntarily by adult young Friends for adult young Friends! Our break even cost is $150/person, and we are offering a sliding scale registration fee of $100-200. We encourage everyone to pay what they are able. If the lower end of our sliding scale is inaccessible to you, please reach out, and we’ll see what we can do. Additionally, if you are a person of color, you can apply for additional support through Friends General Conference’s Bayard Rustin Travel Fund.
The registration fee covers the approximate cost of Camp Onas lodging and food. We will be cooking seven meals together (breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Saturday and Sunday and breakfast on Monday), which we’re estimating at a cost of $8 per meal for a total of $56 for the whole gathering. Per-person lodging costs vary depending on how many participants we have, but if we have at least 24 people, the total per person cost is $150/per person.
If we end up with extra funds, these will go towards putting this gathering on again next year!
